BATH — The Morse High School jayvee girls basketball team lost to Nokomis 48-47 and beat Camden Hills 50-46 in recent action.
Against Nokomis, Morse led 15-6, 24-20 and 35-21 at the breaks and was 10 of 19 from the line. Nokomis was 11 of 19.
For Morse, Ruth Nadeau popped in 13 points, Megan Curtis 11 and Julia Hart and Paige Martin five each.
Defensive standouts were Kate Dube and Anita Doughty.
Against Camden Hills, Morse (8-4) trailed 16-9, 28-17 and 38-36 before pulling ahead in the fourth quarter.
From the line, Morse was 10 of 14 and Camden Hills six of 12.
In this one, Nadeau popped in 18 points, while Dube had 10 and Martin six. Defensive standouts included Morgan Cram, Hart and Martin.
Camden Hills’ Hannah Wincklhofer had nine points.
