TOPSHAM — Jackie L. Perry, 72, of Topsham, died peacefully in his home Jan. 13.
Perry was born Feb. 14, 1940, to James A. and Elsie B. Toothaker Perry on Bailey Island, where he attended school.
He married Donna J. Bibber Aug. 5, 1960, in Harpswell, and together they raised three daughters.
Perry enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, singing, working in the outdoors and telling stories.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Reginald and Alfred Perry.
He is survived by his wife and three daughters, Hilda-May Gifford and her husband, William, Jr., of Topsham, Rosemarie Mello and her husband, David, of Harpswell and Rebecca Smith and her husband, Mark, of Topsham. Perry is also survived by seven grandchildren, Niomi, Krystal, Casey, Megan, Arthur, Kimberly and Jacob, and eight great-grandchildren, Ryan, Izabellah, Andrew, Dustin, Amy, Jonathan, Olivia and Louis, as well as a special niece, Edna Gail Reid.
Memorial services were held Jan. 18 at Brackett Funeral Home in Brunswick, with the Rev. Weston Murphy officiating. Interment will be in West Harpswell Cemetery in the spring.
Memorial contributions may be made to Topsham Fire and Rescue.
