BATH — The Bath Middle School eighth-grade boys fell to Mt. Ararat and Brunswick in recent action.
Against Mt. Ararat, Connor Upham and Damon Osmond had six points each, but the Destroyers fell to the Eagles 37-25.
Mt. Ararat held quarter leads of 11-3, 19-7 and 25-12.
Alex Fernald chipped in four points and five rebounds for Bath, while Tait Nygaard had six rebounds and Taylor Shaw played well.
In a 47-18 loss to Brunswick, the Destroyers fell behind 20-2 in the first quarter and trailed 26-6 and 41-10 at the other quarter breaks.
Upham and Ali Al- Faisalawi had six points each, with Fernald and Nygaard each pulling down six caroms. Riley Lamarre and Iggy Sanborn played strong floor games, and Paddy Keith- Hardy and Taylor Shaw were defensive standouts.
Caleb Cost led a balanced Brunswick attack with nine points, with Chris Glover adding eight. Taylor Worthington and Olu Vaughn each got on the board with a bucket, and Jaznel Burns led the team with eight rebounds.
