AUBURN — The Mt. Ararat High School girls ice hockey teams visited cold Ingersoll Arena on Wednesday for an Eastern contest against Leavitt/ Edward Little.
The Red Hornets tallied five goals in the first two periods en route to a 6-1 victory, as the Eagles fell to 0-17 and visit Travis Roy Arena in Yarmouth on Saturday against playoff-bound Yarmouth/Freeport at 6:50 p.m.
Taylor Landry and Abby Roy each scored a pair of goals to lead the Leavitt/Edward Little girls (14-3). Sydney Nadeau and Amanda Williams also scored for the Red Hornets, while Emma Martineau dished out a pair of assists.
Anne McIntire scored an unassisted goal early in the third period for Mt. Ararat, and Alison Nolan manned the net.
