BATH — Centre St. Arts Gallery, LLC, will hold an intensive collage workshop with noted artist Debra Arter, known for her mixed media and collage works, on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Materials are included in the $60 per person cost. Space is limited.
Arter calls her workshop, “One big day of collage and paint fun” and says students can expect to have fun, learn new paper techniques and come away with a variety of cards or wall work to use as gifts or give to a special someone.
Various adhesives, papers and transfer techniques will be discussed. Die cutters and fun scissors guarantee exciting results. Acrylic paint can finish the pieces off with added dimension and even eliminate the need for glass and frame.
The collage workshop will be held at the Centre St. Arts Gallery studio classroom at 11 Centre St., Bath. For more information and to register, email CentreStArts- [email protected] or call 442-0300 during business hours: Wednesday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
