JAY — Peter Theriault led a balanced Spruce Mountain attack with 13 points as the Phoenix ran past Lisbon 66-46 in Mountain Valley Conference boys high school basketball play on Thursday.

Scottie Hall added 11 points and Nate Hamblin nine as Spruce Mountain improved to 12-4. The Phoenix were 11 of 19 at the foul line.

Lisbon (3-13), which trailed 14-4, 24-17 and 46-25 at the quarter breaks, was paced by Brad Groh’s 12 points, with Tucker Brannon and Nick Collins adding nine points each.

The Greyhounds, who visit Monmouth on Monday, were 12 of 18 at the charity stripe.

Carrington Miller erupted for 29 points and dished out 12 assists as host Valley rolled in East-West Conference play on Tuesday at Bingham.

Valley held quarter leads of 27-12, 46-22 and 62-34. Josh West added 18 points and Collin Miller 12 as the hosts improved to 13-2.

Sean Bernier paced Richmond (6-10 and scheduled to host Greater Portland Christian tonight) with 14 points. Cameron Emmons chipped in 11 points and Randy Moody picked up nine points, five rebounds and three steals.

Richmond was nine of 17 at the foul line, while Valley finished five of 14.

Jamie Plummer scored 20 points as the Bobcats rolled to an EWC win on Tuesday at Bingham.

Ciarra Lancaster and Payton Johnson chipped in nine points each for Richmond (12- 2), which hosts Greater Portland Christian tonight at 5:30 p.m.

Valley is 5-10.
