
She was born June 4, 1942, in Rutland, VT the daughter of Kenneth E. and Florabelle Polly Merrill.
She was raised in Sherbourne, VT and graduated from South Lancaster Academy and from Atlantic Union College.
Rosemarie taught at Pine Tree Academy in Freeport and then was a receptionist in the offices of Dr.Stroud, Dr. Morganstern and Dr. Kalvoda in Brunswick. She also worked as a transcriptionist at Parkview Adventist Hospital and at Mid Coast Hospital before retiring in 2010.
Rosemarie was a caring, considerate, compassionate and true friend to many. She was a caregiver to Dorothy Dennen and her home was always open to neighbors and friends.
She was a lover of animals, especially her dog Dewey.
Rosemarie was predeceased by three brothers,
Harold, Milton and
Vernon Merrill.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Madeline Merrill of Vermont and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4 pm
Saturday, February 9th at the Brunswick Seventhday Adventist Church, Maine Street, Brunswick. For those unable to attend, condolences to the family may made at www.brackettfuneralhome.co m.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in the spring.
