
She was born in Canton, Massachusetts, February 15, 1939 the daughter of Richard N. and Winifred Malone Anketell. She received an Associates degree from Framingham State Teacher’s College. She married Richard W. Rock in 1996. He died October 2, 2009.
Mrs. Rock was first employed at the Alzheimer’s Association in Cambridge and later at Digital Equipment Corp. in Maynard, MA for 21 years.
She was a volunteer with Bath-Brunswick United Way.
She is survived by two stepsons, Richard W Rock II and his wife Nancy of Burlington, VT and Robert W. Rock and his wife Linda of Baker City, OR; two brothers, James F. Anketell of Southborough, MA and John R. Anketell of Osterville, MA; a sister, Mary A. Kelley of Stockton Springs, ME; a cousin, Jane Fitzpatrick of Portland; 16 nieces and nephews and 12 grand nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit from 5-7 pm Tuesday, at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Borromeo Church, All Saints Parish, McKeen Street, Brunswick.
Interment will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Framingham.
