LEBANON – Four crashes in Lebanon are being blamed on poor road conditions caused by Friday’s blizzard.

Lebanon Rescue crews said they responded to a car off the road on Carl Broggi Highway at Old Ryefield Road shortly after noon Friday. No one was injured in that crash or in another crash in which a car went off Merchants Road near the Lebanon transfer station at about 5:30 p.m.

At 7:30 p.m., a truck went off Carl Broggi Highway near Mills Road, with no injuries.

And at 8:30 p.m., a truck went off Center Road, about a half-mile south of TM Wentworth Road. Jason Cole, assistant chief of the rescue squad, said the truck got wedged between trees and a utility pole after it had rolled on its side.

Cole said there was blood in the snow near the truck when rescue crews arrived, but the driver was not located.

Officials believe he has been located with his family, but no information on his condition was immediately available. State police are investigating, Cole said.
