LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon High School boys basketball team faced Western Maine Class C playoff bound Monmouth and St. Dom’s in its final two games of the season.
The Greyhounds finished strong, bouncing Monmouth on Monday and knocking off the Saints 53-37 on Thursday in Mountain Valley Conference play to conclude their season with a 5-13 mark.
“It was a great finish,” said firstyear Lisbon coach Jake Gentle, who says goodbye to seniors Mason Haley, Nick Collins, Brad Groh, Kyle Sheehan and Ryan Brewer. “To win the last senior home game was a great send off. They played for each other, and left everything on the floor.”
Tucker Brannon paced Lisbon with 15 points and four steals, while Sheehan chipped in 12 points, Nick Collins eight points, five steals and 10 rebounds, and Haley seven points, four steals and three assists. The Greyhounds were 12 of 21 at the foul line.
Matt Dyer paced St. Dom’s (8-10) with 10 points, and the Saints finished eight of 14 at the charity stripe.

The Shipbuilders needed two Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference wins to make sure they got into the Western Maine Class B playoffs.
Morse (7-11) took care of business behind 17 points from Liam McDonough, who drained three 3-pointers. D’Vaughn Myers added 14 and Ethan Winglass nine as the Shipbuilders held quarter leads of 9-8, 23-18 and 44-33.
Andrew Middleton led Leavitt (6-12) with a game-high 18 points, with Mitchell Davis chipping in 16.

The host Falcons finished 3-15 after dropping their final Western Maine Conference game, and lose seniors Landon Easler, Matt Schultheis, Dan Burke, Cole Harrison, Joe Cushman, Jeremy Ketch and Connor Dietrich.
Behind 19 points from Quincy Grace, Old Orchard Beach (14-4) posted quarter leads of 13-10, 25-15 and 45- 30. Joe Gildard added 13 points.
Chandler Birmingham hit three treys and finished with team-high 13 points for the Falcons. Easler had seven points and a like number of rebounds, Connor Dietrich six points and seven boards, and Schultheis eight points.

The 17-1 Seahawks shook off the pesky Wolverines (10-8) in an MVC contest at Boothbay.
Wiscasset battled throughout, trailing 17-11 after a quarter, 31-24 at the half and 54-46 after 24 minutes.
Travis Padilla had 16 points, Dylan McMahon 12 and Dale Peaslee 11.
Anthony DiMauro had a doubledouble with 29 points and 10 rebounds. John Hepburn chipped in 10 points.
