Bowdoin College will hold its annual Girls and Women in Sports Day on Sunday at Farley Field House. Girls in kindergarten through high school will be able to attend free sports clinics taught by Bowdoin varsity women athletes. Sports included are basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, rugby, softball, squash, tennis and volleyball. The K-third grade session will run from noon to 2 p.m. followed by the fourth grade-HS session from 2:30 to 4:45 p.m. The event is free, but pre-registration is preferred. The University of Southern Maine field hockey team will hold an indoor round robin Feb. 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Costello Sports Complex in Gorham. Each registered team will be guaranteed a minimum of four games. There will be six players per side, including the goalkeeper, and teams may be comprise up to 12 players.
