ROCKLAND
State and local law enforcement agencies arrested two Lincoln County men this morning who they say were selling oxycodone, seizing several pills and more than $1,000 in cash.
Andrew Goupil, 33, of Wiscasset and Joseph Dupaw, 68, of Dresden, were taken into custody at about 10:30 a.m. this morning on the ferry to Vinalhaven by Maine Drug Enforcement agents, aided by Rockland police and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. Knox County deputies and Wiscasset police also assisted the investigation.
James Pease, a supervisor for the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, said 200 pills were seized along with $1,550. The drugs have a $7,000 street value.
Pease said Goupil is charged with aggravated trafficking and has two prior drug convictions. Dupaw is charged with trafficking and violating his bail conditions from a recent assault arrest in Lincoln County. The two are being held at the Knox County Jail.
