BRUNSWICK — A 12-6 scoring advantage in the third quarter lifted the Brunswick High School boys freshman basketball team to a 51-44 victory over Mt. Ararat on Thursday.
The Dragons led 11-10 and 22-20 at the first two quarter breaks, and Brunswick led 34- 26 after three.
Tom Hanson had a gamehigh 18 points for Brunswick, including four 3-pointers, while Brady Larson chipped in 12. Brunswick was seven of 12 at the foul line.
Liam Brannigan paced Mt. Ararat with points. On the boards, Mike Crawford and Kevin Carter had six rebounds each, and the Eagles finished five of nine at the charity stripe.
