PHIPPSBURG — Stephen W. Decker, 59, of Fuller Mountain Road, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at his residence.

He was born in Boston, MA on July 22, 1953, the son of Chester S. and Gloria J. (Oliver) Wilson.

Stephen attended Phippsburg schools and graduated from Inter Lakes High School in Meredith, NH. He then joined the United States Navy. In the 1980’s he returned to Phippsburg and was employed at several local restaurants. On August 29, 1998 he began his employment at the Bath Post Office.

He was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church in Bath.

He enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, collecting stamps and coins.

Stephen was predeceased by his parents, one brother, David Decker and one sister, Liane Wilson.

He is survived by two sisters, Cheryl Alexander and her husband Kevin of Phippsburg and Kathy Richardson and her husband Clint of Phippsburg, one brother, Wyatt Wilson and his wife Melissa of Ramsuer, NC, 3 nieces, Lisa, Aimee and Kara, 3 nephews, Chad, Jeremy and Mark, many aunts, uncles, cousins and great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Stephen’s Life will be on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 4 to 6 PM at Grace Episcopal Church Fellowship Hall, 1100 Washington Street, Bath. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, 1100 Washington Street, Bath, ME 04530.
