She was a gifted photographer and cared for individuals with developmental disabilities. Janine enjoyed being a mom and a wife, cooking for her family, painting, collecting antiques, and making handcrafted beeswax candles, in which she had a national clientele. She especially enjoyed performing in the bell choirs of First Parish Church, Brunswick, and Second Congregational Church, Newcastle.
She spent many fun filled summers with family and friends at her summer house on Fish Beach at Monhegan Island. Toward the end of her life, she spent many hours online educating people about multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS), while struggling with the disease herself.
Surviving is a daughter, Hannah Voorhees Corscaden, and son, James Albert Corscaden IV, of Damariscotta; former husband and good friend, James Albert Corscaden III; her father, Johan Hansen of Brunswick; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Rachel Hansen of Pemaquid, and Jennifer Hansen Vyhnak and her husband, Jim Vyhnak of Bristol, Vt.; an aunt and uncle, Susan and Bob Montgomerie of Dundee, N.Y.; and two cousins, Brian and Steven Tussell, and their families in New Jersey.
