BRUNSWICK — Maine Energy Marketers recently announced that Staci Best has been named the new coordinator of Marketing and Events.

According to a news release, Best will oversee all strategic marketing campaigns and sponsorship negotiations for both MEMA and the MEMA Technical Education Center, manage MEMA’s various committees and also be responsible for the planning and execution of all major annual events and conferences.

Best comes to MEMA from the position of public relations and events manager of the Convention & Visitors Bureau of Greater Portland, where she worked to promote the state as a premier destination for travel and business.

A native of Maine, Best has a strong passion for improving and sustaining the way Maine people live. At a pivotal time in the energy industry, her aim is to bridge the gap between traditional energy practices and current trends in efficiency through education, public outreach, strategic marketing and work force development.
