The Freeport High School girls won their second straight overall State Class C skiing championship, while the finished second to Fort Kent.

The three-day event finished up Wednesday with Slalom action at Big Rock.

Freeport picked up 195 points in Giant Slalom, Slalom, Freestyle and Classical to handily beat Fort Kent (268), followed by Orono (430) and Mountain Valley (560).

Fort Kent won the girls Slalom with 30 points, followed by Mountain Valley (50), Freeport (63), Central Aroostook (84) and St. Dom’s (101). Girls slalom results were not available at press time.

Fort Kent won the combined Alpine with 73 points, followed by Mountain Valley (98), Freeport (129), Central Aroostook (182), St. Dom’s (208), Orono (234), John Bapst (28) and Mattanawcook (3110.

The Fort Kent boys won the overall championship with 153 points, followed by Freeport (157), Mountain Valley (499), Telstar (705) and John Bapst (838).

Fort Kent also won the combined Alpine with 44 points, followed by Freeport (61), Mountain Valley (109), Central Aroostook (128), Telstar (209), Greenville (248), Lee Academy (250) and John Bapst (272)

In Slalom action on Wednesday, Fort Kent took first with 20 points, followed by Freeport (42), Mountain Valley (51), Central Aroostook (68), Telstar (103), Greenville (123), Lee Academy (128) and John Bapst (142).

Louis Frumer of Waynflete took the boys Slalom in 1:33.05, followed by Andrew Paradis of Fort Kent (1:34.08).

Freeport’s Blake Enrico was third in 1:34.35, while teammate Ryder Bennell was fifth (1:36.95) and Caleb Abbot seventh (1:37.38).

Other Freeport finishers included Isaac Salisbury (27th, 1:59.84), Brady Davis (42, 2:45.99) and Alex Salisbury (46, 3:21.58).
