Robbie Foundation Benefit Night, 5 p.m., Local Sprouts Cafe, 649 Congress St., Portland. The event will feature live music from Chris Pulsini and Tommy Bolster. There will also be an silent auction, featuring art pieces created by artists from Brunswick’s SunTide Studios. There will also be a raffle. All of the proceeds from the event will go to provident children and youth with developmental disabilities in Maine, with therapy treatments, services and adaptive equipment that is not covered by insurance. Project Linus Blanket Day, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., South Portland Community Center. Project Linus is a nonprofit organization that provides handmade blankets to children who are seriously ill or in crisis. The group will supply an easy flannel quilt kit and hands on instructions. Participants will need basic sewing machine skills and a machine in good working order. There will be 40 booths, a little cafe, antique assessments, 12 speakers in two speaking rooms, plus several experience rooms (art therapy, music therapy, balance and rehab, animal therapy and a portrait studio) and a stage area room.
