MT. ARARAT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS EVA JENSEN, KELSEY SCHOTT AND KRISTEN HAINES participated in an annual food drive to benefit the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program. The seventh “Cram the Van” event was successful, organizers said, with more than 1,500 nonperishible items and $782 collected. Each year, the National Honor Society organizes a weeklong food drive that includes a variety show and a friendly competition among students. Then the school’s Interact Club spends Saturday at the Topsham Hannaford encouraging patrons to donate to the food bank.
