PORTLAND (AP) — Despite a fast and furious fourth quarter that saw the Maine Red Claws pour in 41 points, the rally wasn’t quite enough to secure the win in Maine’s first ever playoff game, falling to visiting second-seeded Rio Grande Valley Vipers at the Portland Expo Building on Thursday night, 120-118, in NBA Developmental League basketball action on Thursday.
Game 2 of the best-of-three series is slated for Saturday night at Hidalgo, Texas, at 8 p.m., with Game 3, if necessary, set for Monday.
