TOPSHAM — The Route 24 Corridor Management Plan will be presented to the public 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 29 at the Topsham Municipal Complex, 100 Main St.
Community members from municipalities along Route 24 are invited.
The Midcoast Council of Governments convened a panel of representatives from the five communities along the corridor in the fall of 2012. They met several times to identify Route 24 issues and concerns, establish objectives for the corridor, and develop strategies for a regional corridor plan to submit to the Maine Department of Transportation.
The public has been given opportunities to participate in the process, and input is again welcomed to this presentation.
The Route 24 Corridor Plan will guide MaineDOT investments in the future; however, there is currently no specific budget allocated for plan implementation.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
