THORNDIKE — The Morse High School baseball team improved to 4-1 in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B with an 11-0 victory over Mount View on Friday.
The Shipbuilders, who visit Belfast today at 4 p.m., jumped out to a 2-0 lead after an inning. A four-run third, five-run fourth and a dominating pitching performance from Liam McDonough and Zach Holbrook led to the fiveinning Mercy Rule win.
Aaron Doughty was 2-for-3 with an RBI and stolen base for Morse, with Paul Whalen, Chris Paulus and Aaron Barrett each picking up one hit. Whalen and Paulus each drove in a pair of runs, while Barrett scored twice and stole two bases.

LISBON 2
Spruce Mountain (2-2) pitcher Scottie Hall twirled a five-hitter with nine strikeouts and three walks to spark the visitors to a Mountain Valley Conference win over the host Greyhounds on Friday.
Lisbon’s Kyle Bourget went 6.1 innings with nine strikeouts and four walks. RJ Sargent finished up with two strikeouts and a walk.
Payton Kenniston had a hit and two RBIs in the win, while Brandon Hodges had two hits and two RBIs, and Brandon Souther two hits.
Lisbon’s Brandon Hovey singled and doubled with two RBIs.
Spruce capitalized on three Lisbon errors in a five-run seventh inning to open up a well-played game.
Lisbon fell to 2-3 and is scheduled to visit Winthrop today.

BRUNSWICK 6
Nate Pushard drove in a pair of runs with a double in the top of the eighth inning and Sean Ford followed with another double to plate Pushard with what turned out to be the winning run as EL held off Brunswick in KVAC action Friday.
Ford finished with three hits to lead the Red Eddies’ (1- 3) offense. John Simpson earned the win on the hill, with Lew Jensen picking up the save.
Brady Larsen took the loss, but also led the Dragons (1-4) with a pair of hits.
Brunswick is scheduled to host Lewiston today.
MT. ARARAT 2
LEWISTON 7
Brian Wigant went the distance and struck out 10 batters to lead Lewiston to a KVAC win over Mt. Ararat on Friday.
Wigant permitted four hits and walked one.
Michael Wong and Eric Soucy each had a pair of hits for the Blue Devils (4-1).
Griffin Stockford was the lone repeat hitter for the visiting Eagles (2-3, scheduled to host Cony on Tuesday). Trent Charnock and Jake Liedman also singled for Mt. Ararat, which hosts Cony on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Reilly Kons and Ellison Etnier combined on the hill for the Eagles on six hits, two walks, two hit-batters and three strikeouts.
MT. ABRAM 7
WISCASSET 1
Cal Dixon tossed a complete game three-hitter as the Roadrunners picked up their first win with an MVC triumph over 2-2 Wiscasset on Friday.
Mt. Abram (1-2) took advantage of nine walks and four errors.
Dixon struck out two and walked three, and Sol Fast singled twice to pace the victors.
Daren Wood, Cody Graves and Chandler Longfellow each singled for the Wolverines, who visit Hall-Dale today at 4:30 p.m.
On the mound, Dylan McMahon and Wood combined on six hits, nine walks and four strikeouts.
