BATH — The Morse High School jayvee baseball team picked up two recent wins.
Morse beat Medomak Valley, 8-7, with a walk-off double from Brendan Harper.
Jacob Cressey pitched 5.1 innings, striking out three and walking none. Ricky Warren came in and pitched the final 1.2 innings, striking out two and walking two.
Tristan Kiffer was 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs scored. Dakota Jacobs was 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs, and Tyler Young 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base.
With the game tied 7-7 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Nick Doughty worked a walk to lead off the inning. Pinch-runner Ayden Brillard stole second, was moved to third on a sacrifice by Tyler Young and scored on the next pitch as Harper smacked his double.
Recently, Morse traveled to Waterville and beat the Purple Panthers, 5-2.
Jacobs pitched five innings, striking out four and walking none. Warren pitched the final two innings, striking out one and walking one, and allowed no runs.
Josh McDougal was 2-for-3 with a double and a triple, two runs and an RBI. Harper was 2-for-3 with a double, single, run scored and an RBI. He was also a standout defensively behind the plate. Trevor Drouin added a hit, three stolen bases and was a defensive standout in left field.
