CAPE ELIZABETH – Mc-Kenzie Gray allowed just four hits and Yarmouth used a three-run rally in the second inning to beat previously undefeated Cape Elizabeth 3-2 in a Western Maine Conference softball game Monday.
Carlene Shaw and Mari Cooper each hit an RBI single for Yarmouth (6-6). Kat Thompson had a single and a triple.
Reliever Anna Goldstein pitched six scoreless innings for Cape Elizabeth (12-1).
GORHAM 6, WESTBROOK 4: Sam Robinson had a pair of hits and an RBI, and the Rams (5-8) turned a triple play during a win over the Blue Blazes (6-7) at Gorham.
Westbrook loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the second inning. The runner on third was thrown out trying to score on a flyout to right, and catcher Kara Stahl threw out another runner attempting to advance to third.
THORNTON ACADEMY 11, MARSHWOOD 0: Bailey Tremblay pitched a three-hitter with 13 strikeouts as the Trojans (10-3) blanked the Hawks (7-5-1) at South Berwick.
Tremblay also had two RBI with a pair of hits. Morgan Dube added three RBI on three hits, including two doubles, and Emily Richards drove in three runs on three hits.
SCARBOROUGH 12, CHEVERUS 0: Erin Giles pitched a two-hitter to lead the Red Storm (12-1) over the Stags (6-7) at Scarborough.
Giles struck out six and issued no walks.
Scarborough scored nine runs in the third inning. Mary Redmond provided a two-run single and Grace Farnkoff belted a two-run double.
MASSABESIC 15, DEERING 1: Kassidy Hill had five RBI with three hits, including a home run, as the Mustangs (5-8) downed the Rams (0-14) at Waterboro.
Renee Dugas added three hits, scored three runs, and stole three bases. Regan Adams and Kaelyn Lucier each had a two-run double.
FRYEBURG ACADEMY 10, LAKE REGION 0: Sarah Harriman pitched a four-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks as the Raiders (13-1) cruised past the Lakers (0-12) at Naples.
Carla Tripp and Maddie Pearson each collected two hits to pace a 13-hit attack.
Kristina Morton had a pair of hits for Lake Region.
YORK 15, TRAIP ACADEMY 2: Stephanie Rundlett had six RBI with three doubles as the Wildcats (3-8) cruised past the Rangers (2-12) at Kittery.
SKOWHEGAN 3, HAMPDEN ACADEMY 2: Andrea Quirion had two hits, including a double, to lead the Indians (9-5) to a win over the Broncos (3-10) in Skowhegan.
Kaitlyn Therriault and Morgan Buker each collected two hits.
Riley Walker had two hits for Hampden.
LAWRENCE 7, BANGOR 4: The Bulldogs (7-6) rallied for six runs in the top of the seventh to stun the Rams (8-6) at Bangor.
Randa Tardy provided the big blow with a three-run double. Tardy and Paige Belanger each had two hits.
CARRABEC 12, MT. ABRAM 10: Bailey Atwood doubled and drove in a pair of runs, and the Cobras (4-8) surged ahead with six runs in the bottom of the sixth at North Anson.

CAPE ELIZABETH 15, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 3: Emma Landes and Lauren Steidl scored three goals apiece for Cape Elizabeth (7-3) in a win over the Raiders (1-9) at Fryeburg.
The Raiders were led by Kyra Hunsicker with two goals.
SOUTH PORTLAND 8, DEERING 3: Aimee LaPlante, Lani Edwards and Abby Letourneau scored two goals apiece to lead the Red Riots (5-4) over the Rams (3-7) at Portland.
Nyalat Biliew led Deering with two goals.
MT. ARARAT 12, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 1: Erin Tome, Carly Raymond, Katie Labbay and Rebecca Schuman each scored a pair of goals as the Eagles (5-5) cruised past the Falcons (2-7) at Rumford.
Mt. Ararat goalie Bailey Sullivan finished with 14 saves.
