READFIELD — The Sugg Middle School softball team scored eight runs in the fifth inning and 11 more in the sixth en route to a 28-6 victory over Maranacook on Thursday.
The Greyhounds pounded out 17 hits, led by Britany Normand, Kaylin Le, Jennifer Violet, Jasmin Le, Shelby Plourde, Katie Philbrick, Kipri Steele, Ali Sult and Mallory Fairbanks. Sult and Plourde each doubled, Steele tripled and pitcher Plourde struck out eight in the win.
