BRUNSWICK — The inaugural Viking Va-K 5K and Family Fun Run is scheduled to be held June 15 at St. John the Baptist Church.
The 5K race starts at 8 a.m. followed by the half-mile Family Fun Run at 9:30 a.m.
The 5K and Family Fun Run are presented by the St. John’s Catholic School Partners in partnership with proceeds to benefit SJCS community.
The awards will begin following the Children’s Fun Run at center stage of the Bazaar for the 5K first overall male and female finisher and top two in each age categories of male and female finishers, 13-under, 13-19, 19-29, 30-39, 40- 49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
All children (12 years and under) in the non-timed Fun Run will receive a T-shirt, finisher’s medal and two free Bazaar ride tickets.
The fee for the 5K race is $25 with a free T-shirt for the first 100 participants. The fee for the half-mile Family Fun Run (12 years and under) is $10 and includes a T-shirt, finisher’s medal and two free bazaar ride tickets.
