TOPSHAM — Georgia May (Coombs) White, 67, died May 28, 2013, after a brief illness.

She was born December 7, 1945 in Brunswick, ME, the daughter of Harvey and Margaret Cahill Coombs. She attended Brunswick High School.

She worked at Hannaford in Brunswick for many years and then retired to spend time with her grandchildren.

Georgia was a TOPS member and was very proud to be crowned runner up Queen of her Chapter. She looked forward to getting together with The Red Hats and Grand City ladies. She loved her gardens, dancing, singing and cooking. Most of all she loved spending her time with her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Lawrence C. White Jr. (Whitey); two sisters, Joyce Pulsifer and Jackie Skelton; and three brothers, Keith Coombs, Winfield Coombs and Richard Coombs.

Survivors include one son, Dana White and his wife, Missy of Brunswick; two daughters, Cindy Barrington and her husband, Larry (Smoke) of West Bath, Melissa Stockford and her husband Ken of Topsham; six grandchildren, Kayla White, Alan (Nicholas) Barrington, Zachery White, Zelma White, Meara Stockford and Kai Stockford; two brothers, Robert Coombs and his wife, Josephine of Topsham, Dana Coombs and his wife Paulette of South Easton, MA; seven sisters, Gloria Lamonica of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Helen Vigliotta of Topsham, Betty Nelson and her husband Hollis of Newcastle, Judy Iler of Lewiston, Shirley Larrabee and her husband Ed of Knox, Mona Lacasse and her husband Louie of Billerica, MA; her best-best friend Carol Bisson of Brunswick.

Family and friends can visit 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick. A service will follow 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in New Meadows Cemetery in Brunswick.
