BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College has announced the hiring of Alice Wiercinski as its new Associate Director of Athletics.
Wiercinski, who will join the College on July 1, assumes the position formerly held by Ashmead White Director of Athletics Tim Ryan.
At Bowdoin, Wiercinski will oversee several athletic programs, serve as a member of the department leadership team and will be responsible for athletic department operations including budget oversight, event management and facilities administration and planning.
A 1996 graduate of Yale University, Wiercinski has been the Associate Athletics Director and Director of Advancement for the University of Illinois at Chicago since 2008. Previously, she served as the Senior Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator at Colgate University following stints in the Athletic Departments of San Diego State and Brown University.
