BRUNSWICK

Tonight’s Town Council agenda includes planning for Parks and Recreation’s transition to Brunswick Landing, changes to the town’s demolition ordinance, and consideration of a plan to manage the town’s trails and open space.

The council also is expected to approve a summer vacation camp scholarship fund in the memory of Alex Labbe, a 13-year-old former camper who died in 2010 from the effects of a heart condition.

Town Manager Gary Brown and Parks and Recreation director Tom Farrell will oversee the department’s eventual relocation to Building 211 at Brunswick Landing. Among the decisions to be made are new locations for programs and activities, as well as annual events such as the Hallowe’en parade and bike-and-ski sale.

Additionally, the council will act on the rewritten section of town code governing demolition. Among the changes are expansion of the Village Review Zone and shifting authority for demolition approval from the Village Review Board to the Planning Board.
