FRYEBURG – Sarah Harriman pitched a no-hitter as top-seeded Fryeburg Academy beat eighth-seeded Lincoln Academy 12-0 in a Western Class B quarterfinal stopped in the bottom of the fifth inning because of the 12-run rule.

Harriman struck out nine, walked one and did not allow a ball out of the infield. The only base runner for Lincoln (11-7), Hayden Campbell, was thrown out by catcher Carla Tripp on a stolen-base attempt in the second inning.

Tripp also had two hits and scored four runs. Maddie Pearson doubled during a three-run first inning, then hit a two-run single in the second as Fryeburg (16-1) stretched its lead to 7-0.

The Raiders ended the game in the fifth on RBI singles by Harriman and Sydney Charles.

LACROSSE

YORK 12, FALMOUTH 11: Courtney Cole scored her seventh goal on a low bouncer with 1:26 left to give the No. 4 Wildcats (10-3) a Western Class B quarterfinal victory over No. 5 Falmouth (7-6) in York.

Falmouth’s Alex Bernier tied the game with 1:38 remaining. Ruby Cribby won the ensuing draw for York, and Cole collected the ball at the circle and went straight downfield to score the winner.

Lizzy Wagner scored three goals for the Wildcats. Bernier scored four for Falmouth, Sabrina Southwick added three and Angela Mallis tallied twice.

CHEVERUS 15, MT. ARARAT 2: Alex Logan scored five goals to help the No. 2 Stags (10-3) beat the seventh-seeded Eagles (6-7) in an Eastern Class A quarterfinal at Portland.

Elyse Caiazzo and Meredith Willard each had four goals and two assists.

Sierra Gilley scored twice for Mt. Ararat.

MASSABESIC 14, SOUTH PORTLAND 5: Rayne Whitten and Heather Everett each had five goals and two assists to lead the No. 2 Mustangs (10-3) past the No. 7 Red Riots (7-6) in a Western Class A quarterfinal at Waterboro.

Brianne Maloney had two goals and an assist for South Portland.

WINDHAM 13, LEWISTON 10: Christina Pollard had seven goals and two assists, Sam Greenlaw added five goals and sixth-seeded Windham (8-5) held off No. 3 Lewiston (10-3) in an Eastern Class A quarterfinal at Lewiston.

Kelsey Dumond scored five goals for the Blue Devils.

SCARBOROUGH 14, BONNY EAGLE 4: Kaitlin Prince scored four goals as the top-seeded Red Storm (9-4) rolled to a Western Class A quarterfinal victory over No. 8 Bonny Eagle (6-7) in Scarborough.

Maiti Kent and Bailey Adams each had three goals and an assist, and Avery Pietras also scored three goals.

Sam Campobasso and Jordan Ray had two goals each for the Scots. Abby Ward had 18 saves.

MORSE 17, CAMDEN HILLS 10: Sadia Crosby scored nine goals for the fourth-seeded Shipbuilders (8-5) against fifth-seeded Camden Hills (6-7) in an Eastern Class B quarterfinal at Bath.

Sophie Sreden added four goals and two assists.

Kristina Alex had three goals for the Windjammers, while Alice Flint, Lea Smith and Addie Bragg scored twice each.

MESSALONSKEE 14, BRUNSWICK 6: Kristy Bernatchez and Allison Fischang each scored four goals as the top-seeded Eagles beat the No. 8 Dragons in an Eastern Class A quarterfinal at Thomas College.

Messalonskee ran off six straight goals, including two each by Bernatchez and Fischang, to build an 8-2 lead by halftime.

Eliza Brooks led the Dragons with four goals.

CONY 12, PORTLAND 8: Emily Quirion and Bayleigh Logan each scored four goals to lead the fourth-seeded Rams (10-3) past the fifth-seeded Bulldogs (7-6) in an Eastern Class A quarterfinal at Augusta.

Josie Lee added two goals, and Haley Hanks and Hayley Quirion also scored for Cony. Izzy Eames had 11 saves.

Isabel Stenli led the Bulldogs with four goals. Merritt Ryan and Hallie Alex each added a pair.
