PLEASANT RIDGE PLANTATION (AP) — The National Weather Service has confirmed that Sunday’s storm caused a weak tornado in Pleasant Ridge Plantation in Somerset County. But weather officials say the winds in other areas of the state were more damaging.
The weather service says the tornado snapped or uprooted about 12 trees. The twister’s path was about 40 yards wide and 60 yards long, with winds of 50 to 60 mph. The agency said there were no injuries.
