BRUNSWICK — The U.S. Navy has scheduled a Restoration Advisory Board meeting for 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 13, to continue the environmental remediation process at the former naval air station.
Board members will convene in the second-floor meeting room at Brunswick Station on Station Avenue.
The agenda includes information about the investigations made prior to determining whether property is suitable for transfer or lease under the environmental laws, as well as an update on the skeet ranges and other sites impacted by munitions.
Groundwater contamination trends and treatment will also be discussed.
The meeting will be available on Brunswick’s TV3 local cable station, or by livestreaming over the Internet at www.brunswickme.org.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
