BATH — In a Cal Ripken Baseball playoff game last week, BMDA came away with a 9-0 victory over Smith- Tobey.

BMDA’s Isaiah Cogswell (two innings, striking out four) and Lucas Groat (remaining four innings, striking out six) took turns on the mound.

Logan Pelletier, Miles Bobbi, Nate Ewald, Cameron Footer and Cogswell played well defensively.

Hitters for BMDA included Groat with three singles, Pelletier with two doubles, Cogswell a three-run homer, and Footer and Miles Bobbi a single each.

Smith-Tobey pitchers included Tommy Warren (six strikeouts), Isaak Flaming (four strikeouts) and Brandon Barone (three strikeouts).

On Sunday, BMDA came away with a hard fought 5-4 win over Smith-Tobey.

Groat, Ewald, Cogswell and Bobbi all combined offensively with RBIs in the third inning to score five runs.

Hits for BMDA included Groat, Ewald and Cogswell with doubles and Bobbi and Sam Sinibaldi with singles.

Defensive standouts included Groat, Cogswell, Ewald and Josh Doughty. Cogswell, Groat and Ewald took turns on the mound.

Pitching for Smith-Tobey were Warren and Jackson Walker. Warren struck out six, while Jackson Walker struck out five.

Smith-Tobey had a strong defensive play from Kam Harrison and Flaming.
