FREEPORT — Deborah M. Shoby, 60, of Lower Flying Point Road, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Mid Coast Hospital, Brunswick.

She was born in New York, NY, February 22, 1953, the daughter of Joseph W. and Amelia Torresi Baranello. She graduated from Holy Cross Academy and later received degrees from Fordham University and the University of New England. She married David B. Shoby in Kennebunkport, August 24, 1975.

Mrs. Shoby was employed as a physical therapist at St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston, and for the past 21 years at CHANS Health Care.

She was a communicant of St. Jude’s Church in Freeport.

Deborah was a woman who enjoyed many activities, especially crafts, painting, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and many friends.

She is survived by her husband of Freeport; a daughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Shoby of Gray; and two sisters, Vicki Hammond of Ardsley, NY, and Charlaine Levy and husband Ted of Manalapan, NJ.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
