Residents in several local towns are voting by referendum today on adoption of the 2013-14 school budgets adopted at district budget meetings or by town councils.

The four towns that make up School Administrative District 75 met at a district-wide budget meeting May 23, adopting a $34.7 million 2013-14 school budget that is the subject of a budget validation referendum today in each of the towns. Polls are open until 8 p.m. at the following locations:
— Bowdoin Central School, 1460 Main St.
— Bowdoinham Town Hall, 13 School St.
— Merriconeag Grange Hall, Route 123, Harpswell
— Cundy’s Harbor Community Building, 837 Cundy’s Harbor Road, Harpswell
— Old Orr’s Island School House, Orr’s Island, Harpswell
— Exhibition hall, Topsham Fairgrounds, off Elm Street.

Bowdoinham voters will also consider allowing the state to issue licenses for the sale of sale of malt liquor and in a separate question the sale of wine, to be consumed on the premises of licensed establishments Monday through Saturday.

Voters in Brunswick are considering today approving the 2013-14 $35 million school budget adopted by the Brunswick Town Council May 23. Polls are open until 8 p.m. and all voting is at the Brunswick Junior High School located at 65 Columbia Ave.

Polls are open until 8 p.m. in Lisbon — at the Superintendent’s Central Office Building at 19 Gartley St. for District 1 and at the MTM Center at 18 School St. in Lisbon Falls for District 2 — where voters will decide whether or not to approve a $14.3 million school budget for 2013-14. Lisbon voters will also consider approving a l ease purchase agreement for the town to purchase a new sewer vacuum truck not to exceed $315,000; to replace on older undersized truck.

Residents of Richmond and Dresden are voting today on the Regional School Unit 2 budget for 2013-14. Polls are open until 8 p.m. and voting is at the Richmond town office in Richmond and at Pownalborough Hall in Dresden.

Voters in all of these towns are being asked if they want to continue the budget validation referendum process for another three years.
