BATH — The Bath Soup Kitchen will be closed from June 28 to Sept. 4, reshuffling local food aid efforts.
For the months of July and August, clients will be able to get two boxes of food at the Food Pantry instead of only one per month.
Clients also are welcome to go to the Brunswick soup kitchen anytime, weekedays, from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
There are several meal programs for children all over the state: Dial 211 and they will give the closest location.
And Mid-Coast Hunger Prevention has a monthly food truck available to everyone 5 to 7 p.m. July 11 and Aug. 8, 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 12 and 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 8.
The program offers free lunches to youths 18 and younger weekdays from 1 to 2 p.m. through August.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
