PORTLAND — The Erie SeaWolves (34-30) swept an Eastern League doubleheader from the Portland Sea Dogs (33-30) on Wednesday night at Hadlock Field.

Erie took game one, 3-2, in eight innings and won the nightcap, 1-0.

In the opener, the Sea- Wolves snapped a 2- 2 tie with two outs in the eighth off losing pitcher Miguel Celestino (1-4). James Robbins doubled home Wade Gaynor for the game- winning run.

Gaynor started the rally with a two-out double to left field.

Erie took a 2-0 lead in the second inning off Charlie Haeger. Jaime Johnson drew a bases loaded two-out walk and Eugenio Suarez knocked in the second run with a single.

Haeger tossed five innings, allowing two hits and two runs.

After a rain delay in the fifth inning, the Sea Dogs tied things in the sixth on a two-run double by Xander Bogaerts.

Erie scored the lone run in the first inning of game two, an unearned run off Jeremy Kehrt. Suarez reached on an error and scored on a groundball by Daniel Fields.

Kehrt ( 0- 2) tossed six strong innings on three hits, one unearned run and six strikeouts.

Portland had three hits, two by Peter Hissey and a single from Bogaerts.

Eric reliever Will Clinard (1-1) earned his first Double- A win, working two scoreless frames.

Blaine Hardy pitched the ninth for his first save. Starter Ryan Robowski hurled four scoreless frames in his first professional start.

The teams conclude the season series tonight at Hadlock Field.

Portland right-hander Anthony Ranaudo (6-1, 2.43) takes on lefty Ramon Garcia (0-0, 10.80).
