BATH — Bath Country Club will be the setting for the annual “Golfing FORE Kidneys” fundraiser on July 27.
The tournament is a day of fun which begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., and following the tournament, a barbecue buffet will be provided.
Four- to five-players teams are needed, and volunteer opportunities are available.
The tournament helps raise awareness about kidney disease and transplantation, with funds going to the Maine Transplant Program Patient Assistance Fund through Maine Medical Center.
Also, there will be a silent auction and raffle during the buffet.
The cost is $85 for golfers, which includes golf and the buffet. For those wishing to enjoy only the buffet, the cost is $15.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
