TOPSHAM — The Merrymeeting Wheelers Bicycle Club recently announced its sponsorship of the Merrymeeting Time Trial.
This challenging event will take place at Roller World, located off of Rt. 201. The event is scheduled for Aug. 11.
Registration for the event is available at www.bikereg.com until Aug. 9. Day of registration is possible on the morning of the race, beginning at 6:30 a.m. Participants are asked to register early.
There are two race courses available — a competitive 20- mile course and a novice, 10- mile course. The novice class begins at 8 a.m., with the competitive classhavinga9a.m. start.
MWBC is looking for volunteers, who can register via the MWBC website at www.merrymeetingwheelers.org
All proceeds will support Wheelers’ Helmets for Kids, school bike rack programs, and to purchase and install additional signs.
