Until July 7: Schoolhouse Arts Center will present “25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” June 21, 22, 28, 29 and July 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m. and June 23 and 30 and July 7 at 5 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults and $16 for students and seniors. Until Aug. 16: The Summer Food Service Program in Gray-New Gloucester, sponsored by the MSAD 15 Food Services Department and supported by the Preble Street Maine Hunger Initiative in partnership with the Liberty Family Foundation, will be offering a free lunch to all kids and teens under the age of 18. There is no application and everyone is welcome. The meal is held at the Gray-New Gloucester High School from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and at the Liberty Family Foundation site (across from St. Gregory’s Parish) from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. For more information, call Amy Bacon at 657-9331.
Saturday, July 6: Lake Region Field Hockey is hosting a pancake breakfast from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Village Side Restaurant, 377 Roosevelt Trail in Naples. The cost of the breakfast is $6 per person. A car wash will be available while dining. Donations for the car wash are appreciated. The Lake Region Field Hockey team is raising money to pay for uniforms.
July 6: The Casco Public Library’s Summer Celebration takes place on the Casco Village Green 4-6 p.m. There will be live music, lobster rolls, strawberry lemonade and a special goodbye to the director.
July 8-12: Vacation Bible School program takes place from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Gospel Church in Naples on Route 114 near Route 302. For more information, contact Lori at 809-4427 or Peter at 803-2199.
July 10-11: Auditions for Arsenic and Old Lace will be held at Schoolhouse Arts Center on July 10 and 11 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Parts are available for three women and 11 men. Thursday, July 11: A staff representative of Sen. Angus King will hold office hours at Windham Town Hall from 2-4 p.m. Constituent outreach hours, allow residents to discuss specific problems, legislative issues, or any concerns regarding federal government agencies. Saturday, July 13: The Pleasant Lake & Parker Pond Association holds its annual meeting 9:30-11 a.m. at the Casco Community Center, 940 Meadow Road, Casco. Susan Gallo, a wildlife biologist and director of Maine Audubon’s Protect the Loon Project, is the featured speaker. All are welcome to attend.
July 13-14: The 34th annual Chickadee Quilters Quilt Show will be held at Stevens Brook Elementary School, Frances Bell Drive in Bridgton, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. both days. A donation of $5 at the door is appreciated. This year’s show has an abundance of quilts on display – from small to king size. A vendor area will be set up. The yard sale table will have quilt and craft items for purchase. A Chinese Auction table has items supplied and or made by our members. Demos each day.
Sunday, July 14: Raymond Village Community Concerts presents “Life As I Hear It” with Dan Strange and guest artist Ashley Liberty at 4 p.m. The concert takes place at Raymond Village Community Church, 27 Main Street, Raymond. Tickets are $15 for adults, students and seniors are $12, and children 5 and under are $5.
Saturday, July 13: The Knights of Columbus, Windham Council will be hosting a Baked Bean Dinner from 5-6 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Route 302 North Windham. Adults: $9, $4 for 12 and under (Family max. $25.) On the menu are two varieties of homemade baked beans, hot dogs, homestyle mac and cheese, homemade desserts and beverages. The proceeds of this dinner will benefit the charitable works of the council.
Sunday, July 14: Raymond Village Library’s annual book sale begins at 9 a.m. and will continue into August during regular library hours: Sunday, Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Saturday, July 20: The Windham High School Class of 1973 will hold its 40th class reunion starting at 6 p.m. It will be a casual gathering upstairs at Rustler’s Steak House on Route 302 in Windham. There will be a menu to order food from that night, so no advance reservation or admission fee is required. • Attention crafters, the Vendredi Club of Casco is having its third annual craft fair on Nov. 3. at Crooked River School on Route 11 in Casco. The fair features a wide variety of hand-crafts and has space for more crafters who would like to have their unique craft included.
