BRUNSWICK — Smith- Tobey Post split with Tri County of Poland on Saturday and Highland Green of Topsham swept Andy Valley Sunday in American Legion Baseball action.

At Mt. Ararat High School, Highland Green scored two runs in the fifth and one in the sixth to win the opener.
Eddie Stewart went the first six innings and Torrey Charnock picked up the mound save as the duo combined on five strikeouts and two walks.
Jonah Williams and Josh Bunker took turns on the mound in the loss and combined on six strikeouts and four walks.
In the six-hit Highland offense, Reiley Kons had two singles, Sam Coombs added an RBI-single in the fourth, and Ryan Lathrop knocked in the winning run with a sixthinning single.
Joey Van Note was a defensive standout at second base.
Payton Kennison singled and doubled in the loss.

In the nightcap, Lathrop tossed a two-hitter with four strikeouts and a walk.
Highland mustered five hits and scored a run each in the fourth and fifth innings.
Dan Porter singled, doubled and drove in a run for Highland, which improved to 4-5 and is scheduled to host Smith-Tobey tonight.
Brandon Morrell chipped in with a single and RBI.

In the opener, Smith-Tobey Post jumped out to a threerun lead in the first inning thanks to an RBI double by Liam McDonough and a tworun homer by Wade Hunt.
Smith-Tobey added two runs in the fourth, one in the fifth and three more in the seventh.
Zach Holbrook earned the win on the mound, tossing six innings.
McDonough had two hits and an RBI.
Hunt added a home run, two RBIs and two walks, and Andrew LaCavera two hits, an RBI, run and a walk.

In the nightcap, Smith- Tobey jumped out to a tworun lead in the first inning on an RBI double from McDonough and RBI single from Hunt.
Tri County scored one in the bottom half of the inning to make it 2-1.
Tri County added four more runs in the bottom of the second to take a 5-2 lead.
Smith Tobey took the lead back in the top of the third on a Hunt three-run homer. Chris Paulus doubled and was driven in by LaCavera to take a 6-5 lead.
Tri County bounced back in the bottom of the fourth on a Matt Rabasco double that plated two runs.
Smith Tobey (4-5) was plagued by walks and fielding miscues.
Hunt finished with two hits and four RBIs, and McDonough a single, double and RBI.
