BATH — Bruce H. Lindau, 69, of High Street, Bath, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013, after a brief illness. Bruce was born April 14, 1944, the son of Herbert and Virginia Lindau.

He attended Bath schools. In his early employment years, Bruce worked at the Hyde School in Bath and in recent years retired from Bath Iron Works. He was a member of the Bath Lodge of Elks.

He married Marcia Holbrook (Talbot) on July 29, 1979. They made their home in the little house in Winnegance that had been in Marcia’s family since 1780.

Bruce is remembered for his love of cribbage, target shooting, and his Sunday morning rides with his Pepsi. He was a gentle soul, remembered for taking in a stray cat and even a family of red squirrels.

Bruce was predeceased by his parents, his wife Marcia in 1996, and his brother Dean Lindau in 2004.

He is survived by two stepsons: Frank Talbot and his wife Linda of Bath and Joe Talbot and his wife Tina of Phippsburg; and five stepgrandchildren: Nathan, Ryan, Kyle, Alysha and Justin.
