The terms of two members of the Town Council, including the chairman, and two members of the Regional School Unit 5 board are expiring headed into the Nov. 5 municipal elections.
Nomination papers for municipal offices became available on Monday, and are due back at the Town Hall on Sept. 11, at 6 p.m.
Jim Hendricks, chairman of the Town Council, and District 1 Councilor David “Scott” Gleeson are up for reelection. Gleeson took out nominating papers on Monday, Town Clerk Tracey Stevens said. Both terms are for three years.
On the RSU 5 Board of Directors, three-year terms for Brenda Kielty and Peter Murray are expiring.
Thomas Hudak and Garret Simmons are up for re-election to three-year terms as Freeport Sewer District trustees. John Carp seeks reelection to a three-year term as Water District trustee.
