BRUNSWICK — The second annual Fight Hard 5K race/walk, in memory of Laurie Butler, will be held Aug. 11 with a 7:45 a.m. start at Edwards Field off of Jordan Avenue.

Butler fought a courageous battle with breast cancer. She grew up in Brunswick and touched many lives with her strength and courage. She inspired many by running in 5K races, even throughout her cancer treatments.

All proceeds from the 5K will benefit the Dean Snell Cancer Foundation.
