WOOLWICH — The Selectboard will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday to approve final language for the Town Office addition.
Last month, the town approved spending up to $300,000 for an addition and other improvements to the cramped Town Office portion of the Municipal Building.
During a workshop Monday night, Selectman Jason Shaw said he is in hopes that the project could begin in mid-September. Chairman David King stipulated that any bid language must insist on a 12-month warranty for building and labor defects. King also expressed hope that there might be enough money left over from the project to pay for a propanefueled generator.
“Technically, we’re just bidding on the shell,” King said.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
