The body of a 56-year-old man found laying in the middle of Adams Road has been identified.

The Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Department responded at 5:14 a.m. Wednesday to a report of an unresponsive male laying in the roadway at 129 Adams Road. The man was identified today as David Curtis, 56, an Adams Road resident.

Deputy Chief Brett Strout said the man was deceased, and that there does not appear to by anything suspicious about the death. The man did not sustain any physical trauma, Strout said.

Strout said the state medical examiner has been notified.
