
She was born on October 16, 1929, in Bath, Maine. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Frieda (Ehlers) Bagdikian.
She attended Bath schools and the University of Vermont, graduating with both a bachelor’s and a master’s in Classics. She was married to the late Charles E. Metcalf for 46 years. Together they owned and operated a fire equipment business.
She is survived by a son, David E. Fosbroke, and a grandson, Kenneth Fosbroke, of Fairmont, WV. Anita was most appreciative of Sue Stack and David Martin for the years they cared for her. Also, a special thank you to those friends who made her life easier: Lila Wilkins, Judy Martin, Bear Reynolds and Donny Stack.
