People Plus welcomes two new board members.

Dustin Slocum, a graduate of the Logan College of Chiropractic, grew up in Harpswell and attended Mt. Ararat High School. He now lives in Brunswick with his wife, Kate, and five children.

After 21 years in active chiropractic practice with his brother, Jeff, he now sees patients one day a week while he builds and manages the family real estate business.

When not in the office, he “chauffeures” his children to activities. His family spends much of the winter at Sugarloaf where they enjoy skiing and playing together.

The last 18 months have seen an enormous increase in the quality and quantity of programming at the People Plus Center.

This is due largely to the hard work, dedication and friendly personality of Rebecca Banks. Everyone who comes to the Center has been greeted by her huge smile and cheerful laughter.

We are sad to see Rebecca move on in her career, but proud of the work she has accomplished with People Plus and will always consider her “one of the family.”

Rebecca leaves us in excellent condition for the fall with loads of programming and I will be posting her position immediately. If you know of an outgoing, well-organized peson who loves working with people and can tolerate Frank Connors, please direct them to our website at peopleplusmaine.org.

We are sad to see Rebecca leave but wish her well in her new adventure!
