BELFAST (AP) — A Maine man charged with killing a woman and critically injuring her son is being held without bond.
Todd Gilday, 44, of Belfast was returned to jail Thursday after making his initial court appearance after being charged with murder in the death of 55-year-old Lynn Arsenault of Garland.
Gilday was arrested Thursday morning at PenBay Medical Center in Rockport, where he had checked himself in.
Authorities say Gilday shot Arsenault on Wednesday night inside a Belfast home where Arsenault was visiting her son, 22-year-old Mathew Day. Day is being treated at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
