BOWDOINHAM — Course owner Dennis Gallant shot a 29 on Sunday to establish the course record at Country Fareways.
He broke the 10-hole mark set by Jack Lucas in August 2002 and later tied by Ben Goodall in June 2007.
Gallant’s record was witnessed by playing partners Pat Pratt, Carol Thibeault and longtime friend George Lamarre.
He actually bogeyed the eighth hole and birdied the final two to get to his 29.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
